Impressive Towing Capabilities
The F-150 can tow up to 13,200 lbs. with the available 3.5L EcoBoost® twin-turbo V6. This second-generation EcoBoost is rated at 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.
Smart Towing Features
F-150 offers standard trailer sway control, part of AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC)® . Plus available features, including Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ , which synchronizes truck and trailer while backing up; dynamic hitch assist with a line-of-sight guide that directs the hitch ball to the trailer receiver; Smart Trailer Tow Connector with alerts to trailer connectivity issues and lighting problems; 8″ productivity screen that displays trailer information; factory-installed trailer brake controller that synchronizes truck and trailer brakes; and BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with trailer coverage that alerts when a vehicle is in your blind spot or alongside the trailer.
Best-In-Class Payload
Reducing weight is an effective way to increase payload. This is what resulted from cutting the weight of the F-150 body by using lightweight and high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy and a high-strength steel frame. Greater strength with less weight helps achieve an available best-in-class* max 3,270-lb. (1,483 kg) payload rating in F-150 models powered by the legendary Ford 5.0L V8. The 5.0L features the port-fuel and direct-injection (PFDI) system with two injectors per cylinder — one in the air intake port, and another inside the cylinder — to improve power and efficiency. Impressive ratings include 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.
Class-Exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist™
Backing up a trailer involves navigating two vehicles at the same time — the truck going one way and the trailer going another. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro at this often-tricky manoeuvre, the class-exclusive available Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ makes it as easy as turning a knob. Simply rotate the knob left or right in the direction you want the trailer to go. F-150 is the first pickup truck to offer this breakthrough feature.
In-Cab Storage & Fully Flat Load Floor
With a first-class interior comes first-class storage, and the F-150 provides plenty of places to store the assortment of things you want to carry inside the cab. Standard door-trim panel bins are augmented with an under-seat rear storage area, and there’s even space for a laptop and hanging folders inside the available flow-through centre console. The F-150 SuperCab and SuperCrew® feature a fully flat rear load floor for easier access and more useable storage — with rear seats up or down.
LED Lighting
LED lighting is virtually everywhere you need it. Available features include quad-beam LED headlamps and taillamps — providing bright, efficient and long-lasting illumination; LED sideview mirror spotlights — lighting any task at hand from just about any angle after the sun has set; LED box lighting — which helps you work at night and lets you see under a tonneau cover; an LED trailer hitch light on the tailgate handle — included with the trailer tow packages and helps with hitching up a trailer at night.

F-150 Off-Road
Shifting into 4WD is as easy as turning a dial with the electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) system. ESOF lets you choose two 4WD modes (4×4 low or high) as well as 2WD. LARIAT, King Ranch® , Limited, Platinum and Raptor models also include automatic 4WD mode. The FX4 Off-Road Package includes electronic-locking rear differential (locks the rear axle completely for enhanced traction at both wheels), Hill Descent Control™, off-road tuned shock absorbers, skid plates and “FX4 Off-Road” decal. Plus, the available 360-Degree Camera with Split-View Display is helpful when you’re maneuvering in tight spaces and on off-road trails.

360-Degree Camera with Split-View Display
The available 360-Degree Camera with split-view display uses four cameras — one in the grille, tailgate and under each of the side-view mirrors. The system lets you see all sides of the truck by stitching the images together and displaying them on a centre stack screen. It’s useful when manoeuvring in tight spaces and on trails. Also helpful is dynamic hitch assist that provides a dynamic sight line to help direct your hitch ball to the trailer coupler.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist™

2.7L Turbocharged EcoBoost
How can an engine displacing just 2.7L deliver a robust 325 horsepower and 400lb-ft of torque? Engineer it with the Ford port-fuel and direct-injection (PFDI) system with two injections per cylinder, dual overhead cam design with variable intake/exhaust cam timing, plus twin intercooled turbochargers for on-demand power. And the 2.7L EcoBoost with 10-speed transmission is strong. Its upper block and cylinders are made of the same high-strength compacted graphite iron used in the SuperDuty 6.7L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel.
3.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel
The available 3.0L Power Stroke delivers outstanding turbo diesel performance and capability: 11,500lbs towing – great news if you tow a lot for work or recreation; 1,940 lbs. payload; 250 horsepower at 3,250 rpm and 440lb-ft. of torque at just 1,750 rpm. Plus 8.3L/100km highway fuel consumption.
3.3 TI-VCT V6
The 3.3L TI-VCT V6 delivers responsive performance with 290 horsepower and 265lb-ft of torque. The twin independent variable cam timing (TI-VCT) opens/closes the valves in precise duration to suit operating conditions, so power output is optimized at every point across the performance brand. The 3.3L also has the Ford port-fuel and direct-injection (PFDI) system with two injectors per cylinder – one mounted in the air intake port, another inside the cylinder. The 6-speed automatic transmission has three selectable modes to suit the driving conditions: Normal, Tow-Haul and Sport.
3.5L EcoBoost
The 3.5L EcoBoost with 10-speed transmission boasts impressive ratings with 375 horsepower and best-in-class 470lb.-ft of gas torque. Features include the port fuel and direct injection (PFDI) with two injections per cylinder – one in the air intake port and another inside the cylinder- to increase performance. Plus twin intercooled turbos for on-demand power with virtually no lag.
High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost
Going from mild to wild on the most unforgiving terrain is where the Baja-bred F-150 Raptor excels with its extraordinary capability beginning with raw power. Under the unique Raptor hood is the 24-valve, 3.5L twin-turbo HO EcoBoost with Ford port-fuel and direct-injection (FPDI) system and 10-speed automatic, generating a massive best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510lb-ft of torque. This high output EcoBoost is also the standard engine for luxury travel in the top-of-the-line F-150 Limited.
5.0L-VCT V8
This legendary Ford V8 with 10-speed transmission delivers all the muscle you need plus available best-in-class payload. Experience robust 295 horsepower and 400lb-ft of torque, courtesy of twin independent variable cam timing (TI-VCT), as well as the Ford port-fuel and direct-injection (PFDI) system with two injectors per cylinder – one in the air intake port, another inside the cylinder – to increase power and efficient. The 5.0L offers a CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package for conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane Autogas.
10-Speed Automatic Transmission
F-150 EcoBoost®, V8 and diesel engines deliver their power through an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Compared with the 6-speed, the 10-speed delivers improved overall performance, with enhanced acceleration at the low and mid ranges of the power band. Features include optimized wide-span gear spacing coupled with drag-reduction actions plus three overdrive gears. What’s more, you can choose from selectable modes: Normal, Tow-Haul, Snow-Wet, EcoSelect and Sport.
