High-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy makes the new Ford F-150 Raptor up to 500 pounds lighter than before. Combine that with its unique high-strength, reinforced, boxed high strength steel frame and you get the best-performing, most capable Raptor yet. And given this is a Raptor we're talking about, that's saying a lot.

OFF-ROAD AUTHORITY

The new Raptor is even more of a beast off-road. It features better running clearance than the first-generation Raptor. And that's not all. To manage the power distribution between the front and rear wheels, we've added an all-new, four-wheel-drive, torque-on-demand transfer case. It combines the best attributes of clutch-driven, on-demand all-wheel drive with durable, mechanical-locking four-wheel drive. The 2017 also sports 3.0-inch (76.2 mm) internal bypass FOX Racing Shox™ which, compared to the previous model, improve the Raptor's off-road performance and provide a smoother on-road ride.

THE RAPTOR. NOW PART ROCKET.

The twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® with direct fuel injection is projected to deliver even more power than the previous 6.2L V8. A 10- speed automatic transmission with manual-shifting mode sends that incredible power to all four wheels.

Raptor's class-exclusive+ available beadlock capable wheels give you the best of both on- and off-road performance. You can deflate them for maximum traction off-road, yet they hold tight to the rims - and stay tight - when you return to the road. The 34" (LT315/70R17 - 34.4x12.4R17) BFGoodrich® All-Terrain T/A® KO2 tires are designed specifically for Raptor.

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is available in a SuperCrew® model. Bigger doors. More room. More fun. It has an available 360-degree camera* and, of course, the SuperCrew® features the aggressive Raptor distinctive look - the signature grille, the muscular haunches, the giant front skid plate and an improved rear departure angle that helps Raptor transition from flat land to steep hills.

TORTURE THE TRAIL, NOT YOU.

The interior of the new Raptor features deeply bolstered sport seats up front with contrasting stitching. Plus you get carbon-fibre accents throughout, a contoured steering wheel and large paddle shifters.

POWERTRAIN

The heart and soul of this beast is the 5.2L V8 engine with a flat-plane crank that produces 526 horsepower.11 Bolted to a world-class TREMEC® 3160 6-speed manual transmission and you have a car that delivers 429 lb.-ft. of torque.

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

The MagneRide™ damping system monitors and adjusts itself thousands of times per second for a dynamic, adrenaline-fueled driving experience. But with our obsession for detail, we just couldn't stop there. Our attention to detail drove us all the way down to which way the springs coiled, therefore requiring new lower control arms. This racer was designed, engineered and built so the springs, sway bars and dampers work together as one finely tuned system. We also added new lightweight chassis components and a set of Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport tires wrapped around lightweight, yet incredibly stiff, aluminum wheels. The Shelby GT350® definitely delivers a special rush when you get behind the wheel.

BRAKING.

Brakes are a major part of the GT350 magic. So we teamed front and rear Brembo® calipers with cross-drilled, two piece, highly-engineered brake rotors. The huge 395mm (15.5") rotors up front and 376mm (14.8") rotors in the back complete this tight, hardworking system that gives GT350 its well-earned track cred.

AERODYNAMICS

Balancing downforce with aerodynamic drag is one of the biggest challenges a team of car designers can face. But Ford did it with a unique, detailed approach that centred on making it imperative that every single component play a major part in the total overall performance of the system. It's a very hard thing to pull off, but our team of designers and engineers wouldn't settle for less. So it's not just that the GT350 has wide aluminum front fenders and a unique aluminum hood. It's also that the front and rear fascias, splitter, rockers and rear valance with integrated diffuser all work together as a team - each and every one of them. And only as a team working together can this system keep the beautiful, powerful, exciting and intimidating GT350 racer pressed firmly to the track.
